Bracebridge deactivates its Flood Emergency Plan

Bracebridge officials believe we are now in the clear when it comes to flooding. On the recommendation of the Town’s Fire Chief and Public Works Director, Bracebridge has de-activated its emergency plan as of today. The plan was activated April 13th as a precaution based on the MNR Flood Warning for the area.  Since then, Bracebridge’s Emergency Control Group has met on a regular basis to monitor flooding within area waterways. Free sandbags for local property owners also stopped today. The Town will continue to monitor changing weather conditions and water levels and will respond as necessary.
