Guns stolen from Huntsville home

Police are asking for the public’s help following a break in on Brunel Road in Huntsville during which firearms were stolen. They say the victim came home from work last night to find his back door had been left open. He then went into his bedroom to find that the wooden closet door was off its hinges and his gun vault was missing from inside the closet.  Items taken from the residence include a small green gun vault, a Winchester 308 that was kept inside a camo print soft shell case, a Chinese model SKS long rifle, a Remington 597 22 calibre semi-automatic rifle, a hunting knife described as having an 8” blade with a chrome tip and black handle, a coin collection, a bottle of Crown Royal in an engraved box, and PS3 videogames. Muskoka Canine will be in the area throughout the day assisting in this investigation. Anyone with any information about this break in asked to contact Huntsville OPP or Crime Stoppers.
