Police aren’t giving up on finding out who murdered Bernie Cooper

The murder may have happened 10 years ago, but the OPP is still investigating. Sixty-six-year-old Bernie Cooper was found dead in his apartment on West Road in Huntsville on May 6th 2004. The OPP’s Detective Inspector Shawn Glassford says this case was never closed.

Cooper was last seen alive at the TD Bank downtown and later at the Beer Store on May 3rd. Police are still hoping that, even after 10 years, someone will have information to share. Glassford says there is a $50,000 reward.

Police have kept in touch with Cooper’s family.  Glassford says the family deserves to get closure and have this cased solved. You can call the Huntsville detachment if you have any information or Crime Stoppers.
