Sewage project proposal sent back to district council

A proposed sewage project is going back to the drawing board for the District of Muskoka.
Following a large negative response to the proposed project in the Westvale and McCrank Drive areas, district staff decided to send the issue back to council.
Residents had gathered together and signed a petition against the proposed project, which was supposed to run alongside a street improvement project by the Town of Bracebridge.
Homeowners in the area felt the cost was too high being put on their shoulders and in some cases unfair.
District staff met with homeowners on Tuesday to get input on the project to present to council as well.
