Orillia OPP is reporting one of their officers has passed away while on duty.
Police say Constable Dave Herrington died this morning in Orillia. He was a member of the Physical Surveillance Unit under the Technical Support Branch with 25 years of service.
Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the death and they do not suspect foul play.
The OPP has offered its support and sends their condolences to the family, friends and colleagues.
