Crime Stoppers Simcoe Dufferin Muskoka is celebrating another successful year of tips leading to arrests in the region.
In 2015 the organization saw a 92 per cent increase in charges being laid, a 43 per cent increase in cases cleared and a 32 per cent increase in arrests.
There was also $2.7 million in property and illegal drugs recovered through tips made to Crime Stoppers which is up from the $600,000 recovered in 2014.
Officials say that while 2014 was a large jump from years past, 2015 has continued the trend in pushing these stats higher.
The organization approved $22,000 in payments made to tipsters over the year.
