A small fire was contained quickly by the Bracebridge Fire Department this morning in town.
The fire broke out in the basement of the building at 172 Manitoba Street.
Deputy Fire Chief Jared Cayley says all of the occupants in the building had quickly evacuated.
He says firefighters were able to find the fire had started in a separate entrance room in the basement.
Cayley says they believe the fire was started due to some combustibles falling onto a heater.
The crew did have to dig out a fire hydrant during the incident, and Cayley says while there is no by-law, the department does appreciate residents and business owners clearing away snow from hydrants.
