Flood warning for Muskoka and Parry Sound not over yet

The flood warning continues for Muskoka and Parry Sound. The Town of Bracebridge issued a statement yesterday saying river and lake levels are rising. The concern of course is that seasonal flooding may lead to road closures and unsafe conditions for our area. In Gravenhurst, the public works department delivered 500 sand bags and 10 tonnes of sand to Joseph Place, off Talbot Trail and Graham Road. Officials say the water levels on the Black and Severn Rivers have risen 10 inches. Town officials are meeting regularly with their Emergency Control Group and will continue to provide updates as needed.
