A full house in council chambers in Gravenhurst Tuesday evening.
During a Planning and Development Committee meeting, the public was given an opportunity to speak about a proposed senior care facility development on Isaac Street.
Multiple presentations and comments conveyed negative feelings towards the development from local residents.
Many felt it would be too big, and would be a blemish on what they feel is currently a scenic area on the bay in Gravenhurst.
A few took issue with the destruction of trees and landscaping in the area to build the development.
An issue with the height of the proposed building versus the allowance sent the development back to town staff for more discussion.
