The Muskoka Community Foundation has granted four Muskoka charities during their National Philanthropy Day.
Officials say that $6,000 has been given to Muskoka Conservancy, Newholm Community Heritage Centre & Friends of Holy Trinity Newholm, Huntsville Train Station Society and Muskoka Watershed Council. Foundation Chair Marg French says this year’s grants are all about helping the environment.
Since it was founded in 2007, the Muskoka Community Foundation has granted over $213,000 to a number of charities throughout Muskoka.
