Bracebridge Rotary looks to bring two Syrian families to Muskoka

The Rotary Club in Bracebridge is hoping to reach out to Syrian refugees in need of a new home and a new start.
The club announced on Friday that it would be collecting funds to bring two families from Syria to Bracebridge and support them for a year.
Linda Brouilette with an international aid committee on the club says they are willing to put up the necessary cost for one family, which is $27,000, but would need the community cover the other half.
Brouilette says that if they are unable to raise all the funds they will still bring at least one family over.
There is currently no finalized timeline on when the club will apply with the government to sponsor these families.
