Officials waiting out bear cubs

It is now a waiting game when it comes to three orphaned bear cubs, left in a tree in Bracebridge.
After their mother was shot, the Ministry of Natural Resources called in Mike McIntosh, who runs a special bear cub sanctuary in Muskoka.
McIntosh says it will take a year before the bears can be released into the wild.
One of the bears may have been shot as well, according to McIntosh, noting the cub seems to be in pain unlike it’s more lively siblings.
He is asking everyone keep the area clear so that the bear cubs feel comfortable enough to come down from the tree and McIntosh can properly trap them.
The man who allegedly shot the bears is being charged for careless use of a weapon by OPP.
