Gravenhurst Council is working to preserve Muskoka`s natural beauty. In a recent meeting, council passed two new by-laws including the Tree Preservation and Site Altercation by-laws. Gravenhurst`s Director of Development Services, Scott Lucas has more.

Lucas says the by-laws are for people who live on shoreline properties. Council suggested the idea last summer after a property owner cleared all trees on a property on Pine Lake and Highway 169. For more details on tree cutting guidelines visit the Town`s website.
