Bracebridge council approves new gas station

A new gas station could be starting construction soon on the north end of Bracebridge.
Deputy Mayor Rick Maloney says his ward has been requesting this since the beginning of his term.
Maloney says that the next step following the approval of council last week is for the developer to submit for a building permit.
There was some talk of the developer paying $100,000 to put in sidewalk from Taylor Road down to the service center on Cedar Lane.
However council agreed that they should pay for a portion of the cost of the sidewalk as it was already in the plans before this developer came forward.
