If you enter the big rink inside the Summit Centre, you may see something a bit different.
The Hockey Canada logo has been painted at centre ice in preparation for the National Women s Under-18 Hockey Championships. More than 7,000 spectators are expected for the five-day tournament. Fran Ryder, President of Ontario Women s Hockey says the committee chose Huntsville because of the great community.
The November 4th tournament will involve teams representing British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario Red & Blue, as well as Québec and Atlantic.
