Heritage award recognizes original buildings in Gravenhurst

It’s a chance for Gravenhurst to recognize buildings that have a cultural significance to the town’s heritage.
The Built Heritage Award recognizes buildings that restore heritage features, compliment other heritage buildings and use aesthetically pleasing colours and are built with good craftsmanship.
This year four buildings have been selected, the Royal LePage, Rosehurst/Garner Lodge, the IDA Pharmacy and Sawdust City Brewing.
Chair for the award committe Hank Smith says heritage does not mean old, and buildings that pay hommage to the town’s heritage should be reocgnized.
