A movement to protect the turtles of Muskoka is inviting the public to help.
Saving Turtles at Risk or START is running a Turtle Blitz near the end of the month.
The hope is to educate the public on local turtle populations and the dangers to them.
The blitz is completely free to attend and you can spend the day catching turtles with the researchers if you’d like.
It runs July 26 at 10 am at Johnsons Cranberry Marsh in Bala.
