Open Houses will address siltation, erosion on the Muskoka River

Two open houses are confirmed to help bring the public up to speed on the future of the mouth of the Muskoka River in Bracebridge. The Town wants to get input from residents regarding siltation and erosion that’s occurring on the River from Lake Muskoka to where the north and south branches of the river merge.  The situation’s creating both recreational and commercial concerns on this important local navigation route.

Landowners with property fronting on the river and other individuals who use the river for personal or business uses should attend. The Open Houses are being held in Council Chambers on Tuesday, May 5th at 7pm and Saturday July 18th at 10:30am.
