Gravenhurst couple shocked after their cat was shot with a pellet gun

A Gravenhurst couple are in shock after their cat was shot by someone with a pellet gun.

On April 17th, Frosty the white cat returned to his Musquash Road home and his owners Natasha and Cole Maskell with a pellet lodged in one of his hind legs.  The couple cleaned the wound and have since taken the cat to the vet for a check-up. They remain upset that someone would do that to a defenceless animal. More from Natasha Maskell….

The couple are careful not lay blame on anyone in particular and they know there are several neighbourhoods it could have happened in throughout West end Gravenhurst. We spoke to Bracebridge OPP Constable Maureen Tilson, who says such an act is deemed by police to be cruelty to animals. If convicted of such a crime, you could receive a maximum of up to two years in jail or face a fine of up to $5,000, depending upon the seriousness of the situation.
