Police charge two men with theft

Bracebridge OPP have arrested two men for failing to stop for police. On March 12th at around 9:00pm, police say a vehicle failed to stop for police and instead exited on Go Home Lake Road from Highway 400. Two people then fled on foot into a wooden area. Bracebridge OPP, the Emergency Response Team and the K-9 unit searched the area extensively and found the male driver in a stolen pick-up truck. The 60km chase ended in the Barrie. The 26-year-old driver from Brampton and his 18-year-old passenger face multiple charges including theft over $5,000 of a motor vehicle, obstructing a peace officer and failing to comply with probation.
