Fenbrook Institution's Pipes and Drums band heads to NYC

America’s oldest running Irish parade is happening on St. Patty’s Day and Correctional Services Canada is going to be there. Fenbrook’s Pipes and Drums is invited to be part of Monday’s festivities. We spoke with snare drummer, Tom Young who shares why this year’s celebration is more important than before.

Young says ‘Big Kevin’ was instrumental in connecting Correction Services Canada with the Emerald Society in New York City. Kevin was a correctional officer who worked out of Albany, New York. Ten band members from Fenbrook’s Institution in Gravenhurst will be at the parade on Monday in honour of Kevin.
