Man gets DUI charge after car slids in ditch in Severn Township

A 42-year-old Orillia man faces charges of drinking and driving after his vehicle slid in a ditch in Severn Township. Police say on Saturday night at around 6:30pm, officers received a call of a car that was in a ditch on Telford Line. Police arrested the driver after he tried to run away. He has faces multiple charges including driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in his blood. He’s scheduled for court on March 25th.
