War Amps Key Tags still an unprecedented service

The War Amps Key Tag Service was started in the 1940s by First and Second World War veteran amputees who wanted to give back to Canada while helping to raise funds for artificial limbs and programming. In April, every Canadian resident will receive their own special set of war amps key tags. James Jordan explains how the service works.

Today’s electronic keys can be costly to replace so the War Amps are hoping that if you get your lost set back in the mail you might consider making a donation, but there is no obligation. The War Amps have returned 1.5 million sets of keys since the key tag service began.
