Any “eligible elector” can apply to fill a vacant seat on Huntsville council

Huntsville council will soon open the application process to appoint a new councillor. Mayor Scott Aitchison says it will be on the town’s website and at Town Hall. Any eligible elector will be able to apply and given an opportunity to make a presentation to council in April. The new councillor will represent Stisted, Stevenson and Port Sydney wards.
