Two former Canadian astronauts are on their way to Muskoka. Marc Garneau and Col. Chris Hadfield are visiting the area in the next few months to give local presentations. Garneau will visit the Rene Caisse Theatre in Bracebridge on April 3rd for a presentation on “Science Matters.” While, Hadfield will visit the Summit Centre in Huntsville on June 2nd for a community presentation. The retired astronaut is also presenting to area public schools at noon, then to the community at the Summit Centre at night. Hadfield boarded a six-month mission aboard the International Space Station in December 2012. He’ll be sharing his story with students at Georgian College in Barrie come May.
