A rally against single-siting surgical services set for March in Huntsville

A former Huntsville councillor has planned a rally to speak out against single-siting surgical services. Tim Withey says it’s happening in front of Huntsville town hall on Mar. 21 at 2 p.m. He says he is hoping residents who are also against the idea will come out to support the cause. Withey is presenting a deputation on the rally at town council tonight.  He says he also hopes to address remarks made in an open letter by Muskoka Algonquin Board Chair Charles Forret last week. Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare is looking at several options on the future service delivery model, one of which is to get rid of surgical services at Huntsville Hospital and move it to South Muskoka Memorial in Bracebridge. Click here for more details.
