YWCA Muskoka hosting free Aging Well event for seniors

YWCA Muskoka is hosting a free event to assist seniors in the community navigate the aging process.

The Aging Well event will take place Nov. 17 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Terry Fox Auditorium in Gravenhurst.

Organizers say the event is open to adults aged 55 and older and will feature workshops led by community experts on a variety of topics.

Participants can choose from topics including hearing health, caregiver support, MAID and advance planning, AI and digital skills, understanding addiction, medical cannabis, and exploring the artist in you, among others.

“YWCA’s Aging Well events are a fun and engaging way for older adults to learn something new, connect with others and discover ways to live healthy, happy lives,” said Stacey Schat, Director of Community Programs at YWCA Muskoka.

Morning refreshments and a free lunch will be provided.

Registration is required. To register, click here or call 705-645-9827.

YWCA Muskoka is also hosting an Aging Well event in Bracebridge on Nov. 10, but registration for that event is now full.
