Gravenhurst Lions Club seeking volunteers amid member shortage

The Gravenhurst Lions Club is seeking volunteers to support its community initiatives amid a shortage of members.

The local Lions Club is a volunteer service organization established in 1946 that has served the Gravenhurst community through programs and initiatives that support local causes and charities.

According to officials, after eight decades of service, the club is now facing a critical shortage of members that could threaten its future.

“From supporting families in need to funding community projects, we have been there when Gravenhurst needed us most, but we can’t continue without you,” said officials, who are urgently seeking new members who share their passion for community service.

“Whether you have an hour a month, or more time to give, your involvement makes a difference,” said officials. “Don’t let 80 years end on our watch.”

Officials said new members will help ensure community fundraisers continue and that local families receive support during difficult times.
