Gravenhurst Health Hub to host its second town hall on July 23

The Gravenhurst Health Hub will be hosting its second town hall at the Gravenhurst Opera House on July 23.

The event, organized by the Rotary Club of Gravenhurst and Cottage Country Family Health Team, aims to speak about their progress and discuss plans for the next year.

Officials say recent highlights to be discussed include fundraising success to date, updates on renovations and the recently announced $2 million in provincial operating funding.

The event will also highlight new and expanded services and programs planned for the new space, physician and provider recruitment efforts, and plans for the coming year, including the development of diagnostic imaging services.

The project is a community-led initiative aimed at expanding access to local primary care, diagnostics, and wellness services by transforming the second floor of a two-storey building already owned by the Cottage Country Family Health Team.

The project is currently completing its first phase.

Officials say the next phase will include leasehold improvements, such as wiring, wireless connectivity, and other finishing work.
