There are a lot of events going on locally for International Women’s Day.
International Women’s Day is officially Saturday, March 8th, but there will be events held in the Parry Sound area all this week.
Esprit Place is creating an exhibit to honour women on our community who inspire us and you can honour someone by bringing in a picture to the Country Gourmet this Thursday.
Also, a walk is being organized by Wasuksing First Nation on Saturday beginning at 9:30am where everyone is welcome to come to the Parry Sound Friendship Centre to create a sign with your special message and the lightning of the sacred fire.
