Muskoka Lakes opens applications for Community Grants Program

The Township of Muskoka Lakes is accepting applications for its Community Grants Program, offering funding to support local projects and initiatives that benefit the community.

The program is one of three funding streams under the Township’s Municipal Grants Program Policy and provides financial assistance to eligible non-profit and community-based organizations. Funding is intended for projects that align with priorities outlined in the Township’s Strategic Plan and contribute to the overall well-being of Muskoka Lakes.

Applicants can request up to $2,500 to cover direct project-related expenses. To qualify, projects must be open to the public, non-political, and take place within Muskoka Lakes or aim to benefit Township residents.

Since 2022, the Township has distributed approximately $100,000 through the Community Grants Program.

“One of the things that makes Muskoka Lakes so special is the care and commitment shown by our local organizations and volunteers,” said Mayor Peter Kelley. “This program is one way the Township can help support that work, and I encourage groups with initiatives that aim to benefit the broader community to apply.”

The deadline to apply is Monday, April 6, 2026.

Applications can be submitted at the Township office or online at engagemuskokalakes.ca.
