The Table Soup Kitchen Foundation Food Bank to temporary close to relocate to The Table Plaza

The Table Soup Kitchen Foundation, Food Bank, and Exchange Store will be temporarily closed from March 9 to 14 while they relocate to The Table Plaza.

According to officials, the closure will allow them to safely pack, relocate supplies, and get everything ready to serve the community at the new location.

Officials are asking food bank users to do a double shop at their current location to ensure everyone has enough food during the transition week.

“By taking an extra shop now, you’ll have what you need while we pause operations to move and set up our new space,” said officials. “We appreciate your patience and support as we work to create a better, more welcoming home for our programs and our community.”

The foundation acquired the former Fresco Plaza at 12 Cann Street in Huntsville last year, and the building has been under renovation since.

Heather Cassie, executive director and founder, said some services will be moved to the new location while the foundation continues to maintain its properties at 9, 11, and 13 Hanes Street and operate the Table Men’s Hostel and community kitchen.

Anyone in need of urgent food support during the transition week is encouraged to contact the Table Soup Kitchen Foundation directly, so they can be connected with available resources.
