The Bracebridge Library usage increased 20 per cent over 2025, with over 14,700 library members.
That is according to the recent report presented in the March 3 general committee meeting, which says the library has seen a 62 per cent usage increase since 2021.
According to the report, 2025 marked a record-breaking year of growth for the library and its services, with nearly 213,000 visits. This represents a 379 per cent increase over 2024 and a 2,598 per cent increase compared to 2021.
Additionally, the report states nearly 9,300 people attended the 956 programs offered at the local library this year. This represents a steady growth of 17 per cent over 2024 and a 222 per cent increase compared to 2021 levels.
“What began as a period of rebuilding has evolved into record-setting engagement across membership, circulation, visitation, and program delivery. The result is a library that continues to grow alongside its community,” states the report.
The report states that the library received two prestigious honours in 2025 in recognition of its innovation, leadership, and meaningful community impact.
The awards include the New Library Build Award from the Ontario Library Association and the Community Connector Award from the Bracebridge Chamber of Commerce.
“The first full operational year in the Coulson Family Bracebridge Library has firmly established the facility not only as a building, but as an essential and thriving cornerstone of civic life in Bracebridge,” states the report.
