Gravenhurst now accepting 2026 community grant applications

The Town of Gravenhurst is now accepting applications for two community funding opportunities that support local organizations and businesses.

Applications for the Terence Haight Financial Assistance Program and the Community Improvement Program will be accepted until Dec. 15 at 4 p.m.

According to the town, both funding streams aim to strengthen the community and contribute to the long-term development of Gravenhurst.

The Terence Haight Financial Assistance Program provides support to qualifying non-profit organizations and registered charities that deliver programs, services, or events for the benefit of Gravenhurst residents.

The Community Improvement Program provides grants to assist property and business owners in developing a more attractive, safe, and efficient urban core. This funding can be used for various categories, including façade improvements and signage.

Officials said this year, the Community Improvement Program includes a new category, the Commercial Safety and Technology Grant, which replaces the Downtown of Tomorrow Grant. This program encourages technology-focused improvements for qualifying commercial properties.
