Police charge wrong way driver after hitting truck on Hwy. 11

A 40-year-old from Huntsville has been charged with dangerous operation after police say he hit a transport truck while driving the wrong way on Hwy. 11 S. in Huntsville.

Provincial Const. Dana Morris says it happened around 6:30 p.m. on April 18.

She adds the driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital while the two inside the transport truck escaped uninjured.

Morris says the man has a court date in Bracebridge on May 28.

A section of the highway at Gryffin Lodge Rd. was closed while police investigated.
