Man charged after daytime robbery in Huntsville

A 38-year-old man from Huntsville has been charged after police say he robbed a convenience store on Main St. E. in Huntsville over the weekend.

Provincial Const. Dana Morris with the Huntsville detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) says it happened around 8:20 a.m. on March 23 when the man entered the store wearing balaclava and demanded cash.

Police were called, found out who the man was, and charged him with two counts of theft under $5,000, robbery, and disguise with intent.

Morris asks anyone with information about what happened to call the Huntsville OPP or report anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
