Frustrations were aired last night in Gravenhurst at a meeting about two proposed asphalt and concrete plants. Miller Paving Ltd. is behind the plan. Nearly 60 people showed up to Gravenhurst council to oppose the plans. One man said he’s concerned that noise and traffic will be a real nightmare. The company is seeking approval for the plants, which would be located west of Highway 11 between Kilworthy and Severn Bridge. Councillor Lola Bratty says she’s waiting for a traffic study and wants to see what the Ministry of Environment says. Until then, she won’t support a ‘trust me’ approach and won’t give her support. A decision’s been deferred for now, until a satisfactory traffic report’s been completed.
