There may be a heavy police presence at the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge until 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
Brooklyn Harker, media relations for the Ontario Provincial Police’s Central Region, says they’re hosting mock emergency drills at the hospital on 75 Ann St., adding there is no threat to public safety.
Meanwhile, officials with Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare, say all patient facilities and services are fully operational and regular visiting hours are in effect.
However, they say there may be a “slight delay” because of the increased police presence.
