New equipment in Muskoka Lakes will be used to educate residents

The Muskoka Lakes Fire Department purchased a Bullex Digital Fire Extinguisher Training Unit thanks to Firehouse Subs in Orillia and the Public Safety Foundation of Canada.

The fire department was handed a cheque worth $27,685 through Firehouse Subs’ grant program.

Douglas Holland, fire prevention officer for the fire department, explains the equipment will be used to educate and train residents and business owners on how to properly use a fire extinguisher.

Ryan Murrell, fire chief, adds his appreciation to Firehouse Subs for their support.
