Four inpatient rooms in the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge’s medical/surgical unit have been placed in a COVID-19 outbreak.
The unit itself, however, is not in outbreak, according to officials with Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC). They say only the impacted patients are unable to have visitors unless it’s approved by hospital officials.
All patients and staff members are being tested.
“Family has been notified of the current limitations on visiting and we appreciate their patience,” says Cheryl Harrison, President and CEO of MAHC.
