UPDATE, 10/22 @ 5:30 PM: The stretch of highway has been reopened.
A tipped-over tractor-trailer has caused the Bracebridge OPP to close a section of Hwy. 11 S. in Gravenhurst at Bethune Dr. S.
Provincial Constable Adrian Woods says the southbound lanes have been closed while investigators and clean-up crews are on scene.
The Ministry of Transportation says a detour has been set-up up via exit 175 to Bethune Dr.
The crash happened Saturday, just after 10 AM. The tractor-trailer rolled over and spilled its load of lumber over the southbound lanes of the highway. Woods says crews will need an “extended time” to clean up the mess it left.
He adds the driver of the truck was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
The Gravenhurst Fire Department along with Muskoka Emergency Medical Services and the Bracebridge OPP are on scene.
