The Girl’s Varsity hockey team from Almaguin Highlands Secondary School has won the Muskoka-Parry Sound Championship hosted in Huntsville. It happened yesterday when the girls defeated the Huntsville Hoyas in the semi-final 9-0, then followed it up with a 4-1 victory over the Gravenhurst Gryphons in the finals. With the victory the girls have qualified to compete in the Georgian Bay Championships next week.
