Speaker's parade opens special sitting of the House of Commons

A speaker’s parade is opening a special sitting of the House of Commons in the wake of a tragic day in Ottawa.  The applause is deafening as Sergeant of Arms Kevin Vickers enters the House.  His face is a solemn mask as he nods to the crowd and holds back tears.  It was followed by a special prayer.  It’s followed by a moment of silence and the singing of the national anthem.
