Huntsville's regular council meeting this afternoon

Huntsville Council will be voting on a resolution about a proposed resort village at Deerhurst. Earlier this month, the town held a public meeting to see what residents thought about the proposed village, which would have 640 units of tourist commercial accommodation, resort residential units and limited retail commercial space. Instead of voting on the motion at the public meeting, it was tabled for today’s meeting at Town Hall.

Meantime, council will also be voting on various bylaws including no parking signs during the Muskoka Sound Music Festival next month. The signs would be along 13 residential streets. There will also be a report on the noise by law exemptions for the festival as well. Council starts at 1pm.
