OPP in Muskoka concerned about wildlife on our roads

Bracebridge OPP is warning drivers to be cautious about wildlife on our roads. According to a recent stat released by the OPP, more than ten-thousand drivers in Ontario are hit by wildlife each year. Over the past five years, close to sixty-thousand wildlife collisions were reported. Out of those, nineteen people died and more than twenty-two-hundred people were injured. Police say drivers should scan the road, watch your speed, be careful at night, brake firmly when an animal is seen and stay focused on the animal at all times to avoid hitting it.
