Guelph pilot killed in crash on Taylor Lake

A fatal plane crash on Taylor Lake is under investigation. West Parry Sound OPP says a Cessna attempted to land on the lake in Whitestone just before 8 AM Saturday, but the plane flipped over and trapped the pilot underneath the water. Witnesses in the area saw the float plane go down and tried to help, but unfortunately the rescue wasn’t successful. The victim has been identified as a 77 year old man from the Guelph area but his name has not been released.
