Silent auction for Special Olympics Canada underway in Huntsville

It’s a fundraiser to help special Olympic athletes in Huntsville. Staples is holding a silent auction at their store. Services Manager Cathryn Dunowski says they have many great items this year.

For the next week, you can bid on these various items and 100 per cent of the proceeds will go towards this organization. Dunowski says this fundraiser benefits our local athletes.

Last year, they raised over $11,000 and this year they’re hoping to get at least $10,000. Dunowski says raising money for our local athletes is important.

The auction goes until May 23rd. The store is located on King William Street next to BMO. The store is also accepting monetary donations, which you can do in person or over the phone at 705-789-5817.
