Police charge man with careless driving in Parry Sound

Police have charged a 57-year-old tractor trailer driver with careless driving after a collision with a charter bus. On Thursday afternoon, West Parry Sound OPP was called to Highway 69 south of Pickerel River after a tractor trailer collided with charter bus. Officers found that the tractor trailer was travelling south when it crossed the center line and struck a northbound bus loaded with passengers. There were only minor injuries to both drivers. The careless driving charge carries a fine of $490 and six demerit points for a first time offence.
