FedNor invests over $700,000 in Seguin

The federal government has made a major investment in Seguin Township. Parry Sound-Muskoka MP Tony Clement was at Crofter’s Foods yesterday to announce $795,000 to support two strategic initiatives in the Parry Sound region. The first is $495,000 to support the extension of natural gas services along Oastler Park Drive. Seguin Mayor Bruce Gibbon says the extension of natural gas will open up the corridor to further development .

The project is underway bringing natural gas along the Oastler Park Corridor from Kropf Industries to Crofters and also extend services west to the Foley Community Centre and Fire Department. The remainder of the investment will go toward the Community Business and Development Centre for them to be able to provide small and medium-sized enterprises with business counselling services and access to capital, as well as support for community strategic planning initiatives for a one-year period.
