The Town of Huntsville has officially named Denise Corry as the new Chief Administrative Officer. Corry had been acting CAO for the past eight months. She says under the municipal act the CAO position is not a mandatory one like the clerk or treasurer.

Corry says she is extremely honoured to be chosen for the role. She says she was approached shortly after the election.

Although Corry was excited to be approached, she says she had one condition before saying yes.

Huntsville council made the decision during Monday’s regular meeting.
